I have to apologize for posting pics without details, I just felt so bad. Here is the story. I was with Lane in my bathroom when he pulled out the toilet bowl cleaner and spilled it. I cleaned him up immediately and watched him for a while. He then took a 3 hour nap and when he woke up and I changed his diaper only to find his skin red and irritated and the top layer falling off in some areas leaving raw and very sore areas. Apparently some had splattered on his sweat pants and then worked its way through and burned him(my sis-in-law said she had three little drops splatter on her carpet and it burned a hole they had to patch). He was laughing and didn't cry the whole day. It wasn't blistering or bleading or anything but I wasn't sure how to treat it other than rinsing it. I knew I needed to avoid infection and prevent more burning(I wasn't sure if putting any cream on would hold the burn in). After a few phone calls, I was told because it was a large area to take him in. I took him to the doctor and he covered the area with some burn cream and tape (he also told me he needed to report me. I love my doctor and he was just teasing because he knew how upset I was). Pretty basic story but I hate it when my stupidity hurts my babies!!

At least Lane didn't appear to have any idea that there was something wrong :) Babies are so mischevious and I think no matter what they find ways to get themselves into trouble!
I'm so glad he's okay. Seeing as how my toilet bowl cleaner is under the bathroom sink, and Ava is opening and closing those doors all the time, I'm going upstairs to get it out, and I'll put it up high somewhere. I can't believe how old Lane is getting. We haven't seen you guys since a few days before you had him. I guess we should all have a get-together soon.
ohh! Poor kiddo!
I agree with you tho, you feel sooo much worse when you know you could have prevented it, if you'd thought they would find it!
(everytime I've pulled up your blog my daughter thinks Grace is her...)
Hey... so sad! And I know exactly how you feel. All moms have done something like that at LEAST once. I locked Kaylee in the care when she was only 18 months old. She was asleep and I meant to leave the car running while I grabbed her... well, I hit the lock instead of unlock and I had to call the cops!! I cried the entire time!!! Hope you are doing good. And your kids are adorable!!!
