Today Lane is 8 months old and I want to get him to take a bottle. I've tried every bottle, nipple, sippy cup. I've put flavors on the end of the nipples. I've put apple juice in the bottles. I've tried every day to get him to take the bottle. I've eliminated his noon feedings to get him to take a bottle. I was told to take one feeding away at a time, but I can't get him to even take the bottle. He pierces his lips and gets mad. I pumped and that didn't work. I've made him go hungry and that didn't work. I'm considering quitting cold turkey and seeing what happens but that scares me. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a stubborn and spoiled child to take the bottle before his mom loses her mind?

I wish I could help you out. I have no idea, and since I quit nursing the last one at 1 month, I'm not the person to ask. I hope you can figure it out soon!!! Can you send me your address at natalie_sm@hotmail.com. I want to send you guys a Christmas card!!
Hee hee... I am going through the same thing except my baby is going on 5 months. The only advice I have is what my doctor told me. She said make someone else feed him/her. Babies can smell the milk therefore they don't tend to take a bottle from you as well as they might from dad, grandma, ect.. The only time Breklyn has taken a bottle Nick gave it to her. So maybe try that.
you need to just drop him off at someones house for a day and let them deal with it. I am always available, too bad I live so far!
I don't know what to tell you. I was never able to nurse for very long. Good Luck!
